Information for mentors
How it works
Our Coaching and Mentoring Register is designed to make it easier for you to be identifiable to mentees who are a good fit for your expertise and interests. Getting started is simple.
1. Register
Sign up as a mentor when you are ready. Registration only takes a few minutes.
2. Quality assurance and approval
Complete your registration, providing the necessary information – see further information below.
3. Connect
Mentees will review available mentors and can then reach out to you via the platform. You can then connect and agree how you want to work together and what you'd like to focus on.
Further information for mentors
1. Mentors may have a mentoring qualification and if so can upload an image of it to their profile.
2. Mentoring is offered free of charge on this platform. Any mentor found to be charging will be removed.
3. Only mentors employed by the NHS, local authority, public sector or voluntary services are eligible to join the platform. Exceptions can be made for NHS mentors who have retired and wish to support their colleagues through pro bono mentoring.
4. Indemnity insurance is generally provided by the organisation you work for so it's important before signing up as a mentor your manager has confirmed mentoring is part of your working responsibilities.
5. Documentation for mentoring relationships is available on the platform. You can use your own documentation if you prefer.
6. Mentors are responsible for uploading data about the number of mentoring relationships resulting from connections via the platform.
